Peter Stone Horses

The Peter Stone Company was created with one purpose: to provide horse and animal loving consumers with authentic, modern style replica models, real and imagined. Each hand-decorated horse is injection molded of durable Cellulose Acetate, suitable or collecting and play. Made in the USA by real horse people for real horse people.

At an early age, the excitement of riding and being around horses captured Peter Stone’s imagination, and never subsided. He embraced his equine interests by studying the American West in college, calf roping with the Arizona State College Rodeo Team and as a 4-H leader. In 1965, Peter joined his father Sam Stone in business, who created the first model horse. Fostering the model horse division translated Peter’s interest in horses into model horse expertise. Working with the late children’s author Marguerit Henry, he made model horses based off the characters in her books. In 1995, Peter joined with partners to form the Peter Stone Company. He consults with artists and sculptors to produce a more innovative, realistic replica in art form, constantly bringing the model horse to a higher echelon of quality. As a pioneer and the ultimate authority on the model horse, Peter Stone has built the foundation for the model horses enjoyed by many today, and his name has become synonymous with the words “model horse.” These replicas are collectible and even more importantly, and expression of the love of the horse.
